I think this quote means that the first step
to improving is you admitting and saying “I want to improve, I want to do
better”. Because once you’ve done that it’ll be easier to improve on whatever
you want. If you want to stop living above the line instead of below it. First you
need to say “I want to……”. Also nobody can make you improve but you.
