I think this quote means that it is simply
impossible to feel right about doing something that’s wrong. For example, you
can’t feel good about robbing a bank and stealing others people’s money that
they used to feed themselves and their families. Or you can’t feel good about
passing a class if you are cheating in the work and tests. You can feel good
about being bad. It’s like a superhero they feel good about saving the day. But
if they don’t save the day and go to the dark side they feel guilty that they
up on being good. Being good makes you happy.
