I think this quote means that if you
do what they tell you, you will have a nice life or “freedom” because if you don’t
obey I won’t get you anywhere but in trouble.
And if you obey the rules you will get great rewards later in return. Sometimes
the reward is you just feel good about the good deed you’ve done.
